Finding Your Very Own ‘Tunnel’ of Love

There’s nothing like discovering a great new coffee shop, something that’s fresh, original, and doesn’t reek of corporate franchise brainwashing.

Every major city has one of these small, understated treasures tucked away somewhere, just waiting to be found—and devoured. Here in Montreal, I happened to stumble upon a tiny shop in one of our many underground networks downtown, aptly named Tunnel Espresso Bar.

Great coffee, friendly service, and a more upscale-yet-unpretentious clientele (mostly made up of the corporate crowd, all mingling around the small counter, ready for their daily fix)—a winning combination!

Bottom Line: If your gal loves coffee as much as you do, there’s definitely some points to be scored by turning her on to a new place. And the fact that she’s open to trying something new–and willing to let go of her designer-coffee-brand loyalties–might suggest that she’s free-spirited and open-minded.

Ok, I might be pushing it, but at least you’ll have a great cappuccino to show for it.
